Life might be like a box of chocolates. You just never know, if it’s a chocolate or just shit wraped in a silver foil. In the end it’s just a bunch of tiny choices that add up to a big pile of Roy.
It does seem like a game design idea. The Great Equalizer. No matter how swetty gamer You are – we all loose that final boss battle, no matter what.
Life really is the OG Souls game. You think you’ve mastered the levels, beaten the mini-bosses, and then life is like, “oh, you’ve got too comfortable? Here, have a surprise family death, global pandemic, economic crisis…”
Life is basically the devs of Souls games on crack.
And at some point You just get this feeling of “what’s the fucking point in playing this game, if You can’t win”? What if they are just a carrot on the stick to keep You going? What if we ARE actually some fucking batteries just being kept up, untill we can’t run anymore? Why does the game even exist? Is it just the universe’s way of entertaining itself?”
And sure, we might find some perpouse in life. And just make ourselves forget about how stupid it all is in the end…
Life is the ultimate choose-your-own-adventure, only you can’t choose how it starts or how it ends. But you can decide how you react to it, and that’s what shapes your experience. And maybe that’s why people keep getting born? Because even though it’s a fucked up game, there’s still something compelling about seeing how your own story unfolds.
And in the end? What if karma is just a self-fulfilling prophecy…
